About 150 years ago, Dr. G. H. Tichenor developed his famous antiseptic solution to save his own leg from amputation. It worked so well, he used it on many Civil War soldiers and formed a company in New Orleans to market the product.

Each bottle is 8 ounces but when diluted with 40 ounces of water it makes 48 ounces. It cannot be used full-strength as mouthwash. Dr. Tichenor’s provides long-lasting breath refreshment, and temporary soothing relief of minor sore throat irritation.
Dr. Tichenor's is also effective as a first aid antiseptic to prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes, and insect bites.
Ingredients/Instructions
Active ingredient: Alcohol SDA 388 (70%)
Inactive ingredients: Water, Oil of Peppermint, Arnica
Dilute with 5 parts water. To use as a first aid antiseptic, clean infected area. Apply small amount of product on area 1 to 3 times daily. May be covered with a sterile bandage. If bandaged, let dry first.
